Greens are a very healthy choice when it comes to cooking. This is why I try to find several different ways to serve greens in order to include them regularly in my diet. Stir fried greens are one of my favorites.
Here is a simple way to flavorfully serve greens:
1 pound of greens (broccoli, chinese broccoli, bok choy, mustard greens, green beans)
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
2 1/2 tbsp. oyster sauce
1 tbsp. soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
Wash and trim the greens.
In large pan or wok, heat vegetable oil, then add minced garlic.
Next, add the greens, then the salt. (Make sure the heat is on high)
Stir the greens around along with the garlic so that the garlic does get too crisp.
Add the soy sauce and oyster sauce.
Stir again so that the sauces are mixed thoroughly with the greens.
Put the stir fried greens on a plate and serve immediately on their own (as a side dish), with rice or with noodles.
